trained dentists but the latest technology too is essential. Hence, we keep
updating our dental aids and dental equipments to the ever changing technology. Presently Smiline Dental Hospital houses a world class and latest dental aids
and equipments. All keeping in mind of you and for
you…
1. Diagnosis, Treatment Plan
using Radio Video Graphy, Orthopantomography and etc.
RVG– Radio Video Graphy for
diagnosis Intra-Oral
Video Graphy also know
as RVG helps dentists to detect cavities. Higher the resolution higher the
clarity and accuracy. Accuracy is crucial to diagnose in perfection. Higher
Resolutions RVG helps make complex diagnoses quickly and confidently, which
results in utmost patient comfort. Hence,Smiline Hospital is equipped with
Radiography System that
has the highest resolution
RVG digital imaging sensor. RVG allows to easily process, archive
and retrieve patients’ images.
Also RVG helps
dentists to detect cavities more than that of traditional methods.
Intra Oral Periapical
Radiography – IOPA
Intra Oral X-Rays are small X-Ray
films specially designed for taking X-Rays of teeth. The film is kept inside the
mouth (intra orally) and exposed for 3 -4 seconds. The various types of Intra
Oral X-Rays show different aspects of the teeth. Intra oral X-Rays are the most
common radiographs to find out the caries, to study the health of the bony area
surrounding the root, see the status of the developing teeth and helps to
monitor good tooth health.
Bite-wing X-rays highlight the
crowns of the back teeth. Dentists take one bite-wing X-ray on each side of the
mouth. Each X-ray shows the upper and lower molars (back teeth).
These X-rays help dentist find decay between back teeth.
Occlusal X-rays are larger and
highlight tooth development and placement. On each radiograph, nearly the full
arch of teeth in either the upper or lower jaw is shown.
Orthopantomogram – OPG (FULL
MOUTH X-RAY)
AN OPG UNIT
An Orthopantomogram (OPG), also
known as "panoromagram", is a
panoramic scanning
dental X-rayof the upper and lower
jaws. show the entire mouth — all
teeth on both upper and lower jaws — on a single X-ray. Orthopantomograms
are used for treatment planning by Orthodontics, Periodontics
and Oral Surgical procedures.
Orthopantomograph
This
x-ray
scan
illustrates the
maxilla
and
mandible, all the
teeth
including the
"wisdom
teeth
,"the frontal, nasal and
maxillary
sinus
air spaces and the
Temporomandibular
Joint
complex or "TMJ".
Cephalogram
Cephalogram
is a Cephalometric
Radiograph. On tracings of these films, anatomic points, planes, and angles are
drawn that assist in the evaluation of the patient's facial growth and
development.
Cephalogram is
essential for orthodontic and orthognathic treatments.
Cephalometric analysis depends on cephalometric radiography to study relationships between
bony and soft tissue landmarks and can be used to diagnose facial growth
abnormalities prior to treatment, in the middle of treatment to evaluate
progress or at the end of treatment to ascertain the goals of treatment have
been met.
Before/After Photographs
Using a digital camera
photographs of the orthodontic patients are taken pre and post orthodontic
treatments. Photographs are used to compare the pre
and post treatment faces, as it changes the entire look.
Models
Upper and lower impressions are
taken for the patients and study models are prepared using plaster mainly in
orthodontics.
This is to assess the line of
treatment, to compare the progress during the course of treatment and after the
completion of the treatment.
